Southern Illinois vs. Oklahoma State

8:00 PM ET

While the Oklahoma State offense has come out strong, averaging 84.5 points per game in their first two games under coach Steve Lutz, the perimeter defense is a work in progress, allowing St. Thomas and UW Green Bay to shoot 43.2% from 3-point range. Now they face a Southern Illinois squad that won the turnover battle against Charleston, their only D-I opponent so far, with 17 turnovers forced to just nine committed on offense.

Grand Canyon vs. Arizona State

9:00 PM ET

Arizona State is coming off a spirited effort against Gonzaga, but also led off the season getting a scare from Idaho State in a game where they tallied just 55 points. While this is a neutral-court game, it is being played in Phoenix, mere miles from Grand Canyon’s campus The Lopes brought back a lot of last season’s core that ranked 43rd in rebound percentage, while Arizona State was 350th in rebound percentage last season.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi vs. New Mexico State 

9:30 PM ET

While New Mexico State has started 2-0, those two wins came against Utah Tech and non-Division I New Mexico Highlands. In those wins, New Mexico State committed 41 total turnovers. Texas A&M Corpus Christi’s strength is forcing turnovers and most of last season’s squad that ranked 34th in turnovers forced on a per offensive play basis and 31st in opponent 3-point shooting percentage at 31.1% is back.

Seattle vs. Cal Poly

10:00 PM ET

While Cal Poly is looking to push the tempo in their games under first year coach Mike DeGeorge, who ran a high octane offense at Division II Colorado-Mesa, the Mustangs have to face a traditionally slow and defense-first Seattle team that lost top scorer Cameron Tyson from a season ago. The ancillary pieces and key defensive cogs remain from a team that ranked 16th last season in points allowed on a per possession basis and second in opponents 3-point shooting percentage at 29.1%.

Seattle vs. Cal Poly Under 150.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 143.5)

Northern Arizona vs. Pacific

10:00 PM ET

Pacific is playing just their fifth game under a completely new coaching staff from a season ago that overhauled last season’s roster while Northern Arizona brought back four of last season’s top five starters with point forward Carson Towt back after two seasons ago. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 10.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, and three assists per game, leading the team in both rebounds and assists before missing the entire 2023-24 season.
