This line opened with the Diamondbacks listed as a -160 road favorite and the Pirates a +145 home dog. Sharps have gotten down on Arizona, driving the Snakes up from -160 to -175. Meanwhile, the Angels (23-22) just split a four game series at the Orioles, winning 6-5 on Thursday as +145 road dogs. In tonight’s series opener, Minnesota turns to righty Joe Ryan (6-1, 2.16 ERA) and Los Angeles counters with lefty Reid Detmers (0-3, 4.89 ERA). This line opened with the Twins listed as a -120 road favorite and the Angels a +110 home dog. Pros have laid the short chalk with Minnesota, steaming the Twins up from -120 to -130. Minnesota is receiving 66% of bets and 74% of money, signaling a both public and sharp support. Non-division road favorites are 102-69 (60%) this season. The Twins also enjoy a rest advantage, having been off yesterday while the Angels played in Baltimore. Minnesota is 20-9 as a favorite this season. Ryan has a 1.00 ERA in three May starts.
