The Cubs send their ace Justin Steele for the Wednesday start, who has a 1.45 ERA with just two home runs allowed across seven starts and 43 1/3 innings this season. Jordan Montgomery has been solid for the Cardinals with a 3.29 ERA while allowing two home runs across 41 innings, but he is backed up by a lineup that is 28th in the league in runs per game on the road with 3.8 while the Cubs are second in the National League in batting average at .266.

Mets vs. Reds Total 9. Greg’s Total 8.3.

Reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander is making his second start with the New York Mets. After allowing two solo home runs in the first inning in the first start, he didn’t allow any more runs and looked like his normal self. Reds starter Hunter Greene has allowed three runs or fewer in six of his seven starts this season and is getting 12.6  strikeouts per nine innings for a Reds team that is 20th in runs per game while the Mets are 22nd in batting average.

Padres vs. Twins Total 8..5. Greg’s Total 7.8.

The Twins are last in the league in batting average while the Padres are second-worst in the National League in batting average and runs per game. Both starters in this game have been solid with Seth Lugo posting a 3.21 ERA and 2.1 walks per nine innings for the Padres this season. Pablo Lopez has allowed two runs or fewer in five of his seven starts this season with a 3.77 ERA and 2.99 FIP.
