Greg Peterson posts his daily handicapped MLB lines for every game every day. Based on his lines vs. the actual lines, here is where Peterson sees value on today’s menu. Peterson also does a daily podcast, The Baseball Betting Show, on which he breaks down every game every day.

Phillies vs. Braves Total 8.5. Greg’s Total 9.2.

Phillies starter Aaron Nola enters has allowed at least three runs in five straight starts. He has to face a Braves lineup that leads the league with 1.9 home runs per game on the road while also leading the National League in batting average. Braves starter Bryce Elder has an impressive 2.60 ERA, but he has seen regression hit with at least four runs allowed in two of his last three starts and has a fielding independent of 3.81.

Padres (-125) vs. Giants. Greg’s Line: Giants -114.

While Blake Snell has had a terrific five-start stretch with just two runs allowed in total, he is still suffering from command issues with 4.8 walks per nine innings. He has a 3.48 ERA for the season with a fielding independent of 4.21. The Giants counter with Alex Wood, who has a 4.11 ERA with 0.8 home runs allowed and 8.7 strikeouts per nine innings. Wood is also backed up by the best bullpen in ERA in the past 30 days, with a remarkable 1.72 ERA.
