Best Bets on Today’s NBA Player Props Market

However, we’re tackling player props here, and we’re targeting Al Horford in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics tonight. Here are our favorite NBA prop bets for Friday, May 19:
Miami Heat at Boston Celtics (-9, 215) – Game 2
Al Horford had only seven points in Boston’s Game 1 loss to Miami, but he played 32 minutes in that game. So, while Horford has scored seven or fewer points in each of the last three games, the big man is still seeing plenty of minutes. And as long as Horford is playing at least 30 minutes, he’s a guy that I’d trust to score some points in key games.
Horford is just 3 for 19 from the outside over the last four games, so the veteran is clearly slumping a bit right now. But this is a guy that shot 44.6% from the outside during the regular season, and he’s somebody that can really knock down open looks. With that in mind, it’s hard to see him staying down for long. He should come bursting out of this slump very soon.
Horford is going to get good looks for the remainder of this series, as the Heat have to pick and choose where they want to focus their attention. And with Boston, Erik Spoelstra is going to want to make Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown uncomfortable. That gives other guys on the Celtics opportunities.
Horford has also just been as trustworthy as they come in his time with the Celtics, and an argument can be made that Boston’s season is on the line tonight. The Celtics can’t afford to go down 2-0 and then head to Miami, so I’m expecting Horford to show up in a big way. Look for the big man to knock down a couple of triples and score a few buckets around the basket. That would easily have him clearing his point total of 7.5 tonight.
