While the 2023 season is over, you should be able to find plenty to bet on when it comes to the NFL. Our VSiN hosts have been talking a lot about the 2024 NFL Draft, and they’re also doing segments on Next Team Odds for big-name players. However, over the next couple of weeks, you’re going to hear more and more chatter on futures for next season. And that will only ramp up as big moves start to be made. But one thing that bettors might want to start looking at now is regular season win totals for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. DraftKings Sportsbook already posted numbers for the two teams that met in Super Bowl LVIII. DraftKings also put up a total for the Carolina Panthers, which might excite some of the folks in the Tar Heel State that are about to be welcomed to the world of legalized sports betting.

Kansas City Chiefs Regular Season Win Total – 11.5 (-110/-110)
Last season was the ultimate proof that you can’t count Patrick Mahomes and Co. out. The Chiefs looked mediocre for most of the season, but they reinvented themselves on the fly. Kansas City became an elite defensive team and the offense’s main objective was controlling the clock and giving Mahomes a chance to win it late. Well, nobody plays as well in the final minutes of the fourth quarter as Mahomes. He consistently led the Chiefs to close victories, and that ultimately led to the Chiefs earning a 25-22 overtime win over the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. That game ended with Mahomes finding Mecole Hardman Jr. for the game-winning touchdown. As long as Kansas City doesn’t make drastic changes this offseason, you can’t rule out a similar result next year. And there’s no reason to believe the Chiefs won’t be good during the regular season, too. They had won at least 12 games in five straight years before winning 11 last year.
San Francisco 49ers Regular Season Win Total – 11.5 (+125/-150)
The 49ers looked like the best team in football for most of last season. In fact, they were first in the league in Offensive DVOA and fourth in Defensive DVOA. This is just a dominant team on both sides of the ball, and they are bringing back most of their key pieces from last year. With that in mind, it’s interesting to see that you can get plus-money odds on the Over here. Kyle Shanahan has led this team to at least 12 wins in back-to-back seasons, and the NFC isn’t all that strong right now. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if San Francisco racked up wins rather easily again. The real question is whether the team can figure things out and carry its regular-season play over to the Super Bowl. That loss to the Chiefs was rather disappointing, and this team needs to break through and win one soon.
Carolina Panthers Regular Season Win Total – 4.5 (-110/-110)
We still have no idea what the Panthers are going to do in the offseason. However, we do know that the team brought in former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales to be its new head coach. Canales oversaw a Buccaneers offense that exceeded expectations in a big way in 2023. Tampa Bay was 16th in the NFL in Offensive DVOA through the air, which is quite impressive considering Baker Mayfield was the team’s quarterback. Mayfield threw for just 2,163 yards with 10 touchdowns and eight picks in 12 starts in 2022. But he bounced back to throw for 4,044 yards with 28 touchdowns and 10 picks under Canales. The Panthers are hoping that the young offensive wizard can help get Bryce Young to the next level. If he can, five wins certainly isn’t out of the question. The team’s play at the sport’s most important position was lousy last year. An improvement would go a long way.
