NHL Predictions – Expert Picks on Tuesday, March 25:

    Here are tonight’s NHL predictions:

Ottawa Senators (-150, 6) at Buffalo Sabres

    7 p.m. ET

The Sabres have won both meetings this season against Ottawa, outscoring the Senators 9-1. Ottawa snapped a two-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over New Jersey on Saturday and has won seven of its last nine. Tonight marks the first time former Sabres player Dylan Cozens will face his former team. Cozens has seven points in his eight games with the Senators. I also like his shots-on-goal props (Over 2.5 and 3.5). Buffalo’s Ryan McLeod has two goals in three games against Ottawa goalie Anton Forsberg. McLeod also has five points in the two games this season against the Senators.

NHL Predictions: Dylan Cozens Over ½ point (+100) – ¼ unit
    Cozens Over 2.5 SOG (+185) – 1 unit
    Cozens Over 3.5 SOG (+475) – ¼ unit
    Ryan McLeod Over ½ point (+120) – ¼ unit
    Ottawa Senators/Buffalo Sabres Over 6 (-130) – 1 unit

Philadelphia Flyers at Toronto Maple Leafs (-260, 5.5)

    7 p.m. ET

The Maple Leafs return home after a disappointing 5-2 loss at Nashville. Tonight, they face the Flyers for the third time, having won the previous two games by 3-2 scores. The Flyers have lost 10 of their last 11, scored two or fewer in four straight and eight of their last 11. The full-game Under has cashed in seven of the last 10 Flyers games. The full-game Under has been more common in Leafs home games this season. Six of the last eight home games have had a combined six goals or fewer. I like the Under in this game, and some player props are also on my radar. Auston Matthews has had five consecutive multi-point games against the Flyers and tonight will be the first time center Scott Laughton faces his former team since the trade.

    NHL Predictions: Flyers/Leafs Under 5.5 (-110) – 1 unit
    Matthews Over 1.5 points (+145) – ¼ unit
    Laughton anytime goal (+650) – ¼ unit

Washington Capitals at Winnipeg Jets (-145, 5.5)

    8 p.m. ET

Alexander Ovechkin’s pursuit of Wayne Gretzky’s all-time goal record makes a stop in Winnipeg tonight. The Great 8 has 56 goals in 74 career games against the Jets. The Caps’ Aliaksei Protas has four assists in his past three games, and his assist prop (+255) is too good to pass up. With Gabe Vilardi out week to week for the Jets, Alex Iafallo gets a bump to the top line. He has five goals in eight games against Washington goalie Logan Thompson. One other Jets player I am targeting is Cole Perfetti, who has two goals in three games against Thompson.

For more on Ovechkin and how to bet his future props as he pursues Wayne Gretzky’s all-time goals record, check out my column from earlier today

NHL Predictions: Alexander Ovechkin anytime goal (+140) – ¼ unit
    Ovechkin third-period goal (+500) – ¼ unit
    Ovechkin last goal (+950) – ¼ unit
    Aliaksei Protas Over ½ assist (+255) – ¼ unit
    Ovechkin Over 3.5 SOG (+114) – ½ unit
    Ovechkin Over 4.5 SOG (+260) – ¼ unit
Alex Iafallo anytime goal (+330) – ¼ unit
Cole Perfetti anytime goal (+370) – ¼ unit
    First-period Over 1.5 (-122) – 1 unit
