NHL Predictions – Expert Picks on Wednesday, March 26:

    Here are tonight’s NHL predictions:

Vancouver Canucks at NY Islanders (-110, 5.5)

Without a question, my favorite game on the card. We are a getting a total of 5.5 goals at plus money with an Islanders team that has flown over this number in five straight and a Canucks team that has had a combined seven or more goals in each of their last four games and seven of their last eight. Add to this that the last nine meetings between the two teams have had seven or more goals, including two games that had nine and one game with eleven. I also like this game to go to overtime. The last three Isles games have gone past sixty minutes and two of the last three Canucks games have gone past regulation.

Let’s talk about player props, and while there are a lot of good candidates, I am going to keep my focus on Vancouver captain Quinn Hughes. Hughes is the driving force for Vancouver. The offense, without question, goes through their captain. In the Canucks last two games, Hughes has had 15 shots on goal (6,9). I will ladder his shots on goal props tonight as well.

    NHL Predictions: Over 5.5 (+115) – 2 units
    Regulation Draw (+310) – ¼ unit
    Quinn Hughes Over 2.5 SOG (-120) – 2 units
    Quinn Hughes Over 3.5 SOG (+220) – ½ unit
    Quinn Hughes Over 4.5 SOG (+500) – ¼ unit
