Three conference tournaments start today, so let’s see what Adam Burke and Zach Cohen have to say about the tourney darkhorses.
Zach on the Horizon League: Purdue Fort Wayne, the fifth seed in this tournament, should be taken very seriously. This is the second-ranked Horizon League team in our VSiN Power Ratings.
Zach on the Patriot League:If you’re not rolling with Bucknell or the team I picked to win this tournament [Colgate], Boston University might represent the best value play.
Adam on the Sun Belt Conference: The format of this tournament makes it tough to like one of the longer shots because of the need to win at least four games in four days as a No. 5 or higher seed. But the one that makes the most sense is Marshall (20/1).
