Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is out for the season with a blood clot in his shoulder — and out of the running for the Defensive Player Of the Year Award
Even though his -2500 odds came with an implied win probability of 96.15 percent, Wemby now is ineligible to win the award. He played 46 games, under the NBA’s 65-game minimum for awards, established to minimize the number of “rest” days.
Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. is the new favorite at -115, but VSiN.com senior editor Zach Cohen has a 16-1 shot he likes.
