    WNBA Best Bets:

We had a glorious weekend betting the WNBA, going 6-1 on Saturday and Sunday and extending our current run to 10-1 in our last 11 WNBA bets. Another odd scheduling week this week, with no games Monday and just one on Tuesday before a full slate of early games on Wednesday. That being the case, I will give projections and bets for Tuesday’s game and Wednesday’s slate today, and talk about WNBA awards betting tomorrow.

Here are the Wednesday projections from the T Shoe Index:

    WEDNESDAY

Connecticut Sun vs. New York Liberty

After I was prepared to leave the Sun for dead, they responded nicely and are playing much better basketball of late. They’re taking on a Liberty team they haven’t beaten this season or last. They have lost by an average of 6 ppg over the last five head-to-head matchups. The Liberty are 2-point favorites with an Over/Under of 156.5. TSI projects Liberty -0.5 with a total of 154.5. Despite the plethora of scorers, these teams have two of the top three defenses in the TSI ratings, so I like this one to stay under the number.

WNBA Best Bet: Under 156.5 (Play to 155.5)

    Chicago Sky vs. Atlanta Dream

Chicago is currently a 6-point home favorite over Atlanta with an Over/Under of 157.5. Atlanta has been a tricky team to handicap because they’ve had various injuries to key players, so their data is muddy. If the same cast of players who missed the last game are also out for this one, I’d make an injury-adjusted projection of Chicago -6.5 with a total of 158, so there’s not much to be had in terms of value here.
